You received a letter from Ms. Wiley talking about the lock-down.  The first graders and I have talked about this and had a couple of  practices. I have stressed to them that this is only a practice and that they are safe, but I have also told them how important it is to follow the procedures. It is not our intent to scare anyone (and they know that Mrs. Herrera and I are here to protect them) but forewarned is forearmed and the better prepared they are the safer they'll be. Please remind your child that it is important to follow the rules whether it is a lock-down, fire drill, or tornado drill and that the rules are there for their safety.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Thank you to Mrs. Slattery, Mrs. Harrison, and Mrs. Sosinski for all the help last Friday with the Easter craft project and for surprising me with my birthday celebration. Another thank you goes out to Mrs. Tobar for putting it all together. You all rock!!!

Have a great evening!!!
