No school Friday, September 27th.
Please remind your child to use the bathroom BEFORE they leave the house. There are too many asking to use the bathroom as soon as school starts. I don't want to tell any child "no", but I have to wonder how many really need to use the facilities or just want to wander. Having your child use the bathrooms before the leaving will help solve the problem. Once again, remind to use, flush, and wash hands. Thanks for your help.

Please remind your child to flush the toilet and wash hands when using the bathroom. We are not remembering to do this and it is very unpleasant to use a facility that hasn't been flushed. Sometimes we need several reminders especially at this age. Thanks for your help.

Your child brought home a spelling list today. These are words that they had in kindergartend and we have already reviewed the reading of them. Work on them at home. We are working on them in school. They will be tested on them on Friday.

Thanks to all who made Punky's night a great success.
If you haven't done so today, please take a minute to remember the events of September 11,2001. It seems so long ago, yet the memory still haunts so many. Keep in mind the brave men and women who gave their lives for their country. We owe them much. I know this may sound sappy, but when you really stop and think about it, for all it's faults, the United States is the best place to live. God has truly blessed us.
I hope everyone has a great evening. The weatherman promises us a cooler day for tomorrow. Let's hope he's right.

Tonight is BCA night at Punky's. Go out and support BCA. It's too hot to cook!!!
Please remember to have your child use the bathroom right before he/she leaves for school. Too many children are asking to use the facilities as soon as they get here. Also remind them to use the bathroom, flush the toilet and wash hands. We seem to be forgetting how to flush a toilet.
Try to stay cool. Please remember your pets are uncomfortable in this weather, also. Be sure they're in a cool place with plenty of water. Have a great evening!!!!

Please take your child to mass over the weekend. As a Catholic this is one of the obligations. It is obvious that some of the children do not attend mass other than when we go as a class. When you take them to church please stress proper etiquette. We do not stand on or kick the kneelers and we should be sitting, standing and kneeling straight. Legs should not be crossed. The children are old enough to give the simple responses in church. We are learning to be active participants in the mass. Your help is greatly appreciated.
