I know that I have said this many, many, many times before, but I am going to say it again.....Please remind your children how to sneeze and cough into their elbows and teach them to blow their noses.
Also review bathroom etiquette.  We are disinfecting desks and doorknobs, etc. several times during the day, but as soon as this is done, the children are coughing and sneezing in their hands or on the desks again.  Let's try and keep this to a minimum.  Also, if your child has had a bad cough or fever, please keep him/her at home until they are feeling better. We are taught to share in here, but there are some things that we do not need or want to share.

Due to the number of children that were out on Friday and today, we will use last week's spelling words. The children will be tested on Friday.

There is a lot of coughing and sneezing going on in first grade. Please remind your children how to cover their sneezes and coughs and how to blow their noses. Thank you.

I hope everyone had a restful break.  Before the break you were given the Fatherhood Essay papers. I hope everyone started working on these. This is mandatory. Please make sure these are handed in by the due date.

You are also receiving the Illinois Violence Prevention contest paper. Please adhere to the due date on this contest. The due date is January 26th. Last year we had three winners from BCA who received very nice prizes.
