It's cold outside. Please make sure your child has a hat if there is no hood on his/her coat.  Some of the children had no hats today. Gloves would be a good idea also.

Please remember if you are driving today to drive safely and stay off those cell phones. There's enough to worry about  with the snow and ice. Everyone needs to be safe.

I was at the basketball game on Saturday and even though the first graders lost their games, they gave it their best and played their little hearts out! I was so proud of them. My reward to them for their effort is no written homework tonight.

We have a new first grader! Welcome to Payton Goodwin. I'm sure the first graders will make her feel at home and she will soon have a lot of new friends.

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Remember, if you are bringing a treat or sending cards, please have one for everyone.

We are starting to forget our manners and classroom rules. Please remind the children that we are still in school and we need to follow rules. This is becoming a problem during lunch time. The children need to show respect to the people who are supervising lunch as well as the parents who are helping. They know the rules and are expected to follow them. Thanks for your help.

There is no school on Monday, February 18th in honor of Presidents' Day.

Pancake day was fun!!! I learned a lot of new facts about pancakes. Thank you to Mrs. Tobar and Mrs. Sosinski for making the pancakes as well as hauling in the mixing bowls and all the other items needed. Thank you to Mrs. Brennan for the use of her griddle. The children really enjoyed eating the pancakes. They were better than I Hop!
