Those who have brought in their money to help support the BCA Mother/Son event may dress down tomorrow. If you have not brought it in, and want to help, you can bring it in tomorrow.

Thanks to all who donated cleaning supplies. Your generosity will help others in need.

Homework: Math: Problem Solving page in back of pamphlet; work on flashcards
Spelling: Study for test on Friday.

Gentle Reminder: Flashcards should be worked on nightly. The basic facts have to be known. Pay particular attention to the doubles facts.

The spelling word this week are the number words. This shouldn't be hard for the children as they have in their desks a set of flashcards with the number words on them for quite some time. These flashcards are supposed to be worked on when they have nothing to do. Hopefully they have been using them.

Have a nice evening.

Please review with your child the importance of following the rules during a fire drill. There should NEVER be any screaming and/or running.  We have gone over the rules many times from pre-K til now. The children know what the rules are and they should be followed. This is a safety issue. The rules are in place not only to protect your child, but to protect others as well. Should there ever be a real fire the children have to be able to hear directions and follow them. Please impress the importance of this when you speak to your child. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Enjoy your weekend. Pitchers and catchers for the Cubs ( and that other team) reported for Spring Training today. Can't wait for the regular season.  This is also the end of Random Acts of Kindness Week.  Do something nice for someone today. Don't forget to attend mass .

Homework: Math: Handout; work on flashcards.

Spelling: Study for test on Friday.

Reading: start bringing in word list for Units 3-4

Please have your child practice printing. The children are getting careless about how they are using the lines on the paper and how they are forming letters and numbers. There should be a progression by now NOT a regression. Much of this is due to  carelessness and rushing. If I cannot read a letter or a number, I am not going to guess. I will mark it wrong.

Thanks to all who turned in the Fatherhood essays.  All children were expected to turn it in.

Have a nice evening!!!
