If you have not ordered your child's McDonald's lunch for December 16th please make sure you turn it in tomorrow. Those orders have to be placed in advance and if your order is not in on time your child may not get a lunch.  I don't want any child to be left out.

Remember to turn in field trip money if you have not already done so. Please put money and permission slip in an envelope marked with your child's name on it.

This week's spelling test will be given on Thursday instead of Friday due to the fact that we have the Santa Show in the morning and a visit from our farmers in the afternoon.

I made a mistake on a previous blog entry. Early dismissal on Tuesday is 10:30 not 10:15. My mistake.

The book fair continues next week.

Check the Friday folders for important letters.  The Christmas lunch forms are due by Dec. 1st, but please turn it in as soon as you can.

I will be enclosing in this week's Friday folder a letter about a Santa Show for PreK  through second grade. The letter is asking for  $8.00.  The first graders  will not be charged this fee as it will come out of basket money. I do, however, want you to sign the form giving your permission for them to have their picture taken with Santa. These pictures are for your use only.

When practicing the days of the week and the months of the year, besides being able to recite them, the children also need to know what month we are in and what day of the week it is. You can help by asking them these two things in the morning before they come to school.

Don't forget Trivia Night tomorrow night.  I hope everyone has a great time.

Remember when you attend mass to take your child with you. Some of the children still have a very difficult time staying still while sitting, standing,and kneeling.  I asked the class how many go to church with their parents or grandparents and very few raised their hands. This is part of our Catholic faith to attend mass and your child should be a participant in the mass each week. This is how they will learn church etiquette also.  Thanks for your cooperation.

Remember to stress neatness in printing, coloring, and writing numbers. We are starting to get careless about our work. The children know exactly what is expected of them.

Tomorrow is Veterans' Day. Remember to thank a vet for everything he/she has given to this country. We will celebrate the day with a mass at 8:30 in the church. All are invited to attend.

Friday is red, white, and blue day.  Don't forget to bring in your dollar.

We need to practice our printing and coloring. The work is getting careless and I will have children redo any work that  I feel is not their best work.

Continue to work on flashcards at home. This should be done nightly.

Today is All Saints Day.  It is a holy day of obligation. Check your local parish for mass times this evening if you haven't had a chance to attend mass.

Thanks to Mrs. Vittori for arranging for yesterday's Halloween snack. The witch and cat containers were cute. The children loved them!

Also thanks to those who sent in KitKat bars. I was only kidding, but they were a nice treat.
