No Spelling test this week. Review words previously learned.
We had five children who did not respond to the home and school lunch form for the lunch on Thursday.
I spoke to these children and they wanted the lunch, so I took the liberty of responding for them. If you do not wish them to have this lunch, just send them with a lunch on Thursday. I hope this does not offend anyone.
Remember, Friday is an early dismissal day. Grades 1-4 are out at 10:15 A.M.
I hope you have all your shopping done, cookies baked, and gifts wrapped. I DON'T!!! WHERE ARE THE ELVES WHEN I NEED THEM??????????????

I hope you are using the Advent Calendar with your child. I hope you are enjoying them.
Please remind your child to flush the toilet and wash their hands when they are finished using the bathroom. I hope they are doing this at home, and they need to be doing this at school. Unfortunately, this is not always happening. I am reminding them here at school, but it wouldn't hurt to remind them of this at home also. Thanks for your help.

Homework: There is no homework over the Thanksgiving holiday. If the children are bored, they can work on flashcards or work with their spelling lists. This can also be done if YOU need some quiet time and need to keep them busy.
Thank you for the jars. It made our butter-making time go much faster. The kids had a great time.

The children of grades 1 through 4 will be working on a projects for the troops. It would help a lot if we could get some toilet paper rolls. (No toilet paper, just the empty roll.) If each child could bring in one, it would help a lot.
Congratulations to Taylor Brennan!!! She was one of the winners in the eleventh ward Thanksgiving contest. The children had to draw a picture of a family activity. I think they all did a great job.

Notes: We are working on observing in Science and are learning to look at things carefully. Give the children some practice in observing an object or a picture and not just looking at it. Talk about it with them. (We are learning that Scientists communicate with each other. (Declan LOVES that word!!!)).
If your child doesn't already have a library card, this would be a good time to get one.
Practice tying shoes. No, moms, copping out by buying velcro won't work. They have to learn to tie a shoe sometime.
