We are starting to get quite chatty and sloppy about our work. Please speak to your child about the neccesity of following directions and doing the best work they can.  They are all quite capable and they know what the rules are and they are expected to follow them.

The fire drill that we had on yesterday was much better. Thank you for speaking to your child about the importance of these drills.

Tomorrow is BCA Day/Night at Hawkeye's. Please support the cause by either dining in or carrying out. There is a dress down day on Thursday for those who bring in their receipts.

Now that the weather is getting colder and the children will be wearing coats, hats and gloves, please make sure that these items are labeled as many of them are alike. The children don't know their own clothing and Mrs. Herrera and I can't always tell what belongs to whom.

Have a nice evening and stay warm!!!   Happy Veterans' Day to all who have served our country so well.

BCA Night at Hawkeyes this Wednesday  Dine  in, or carry out. Dress down day this Thursday for those who bring in their receipt.

Tomorrow BCA will honor all veterans at an all school 8:30 mass. What better way to honor all those who have courageously served our country. Please join us if you can and pray with us as we ask God to continue to bless all who have served well and to grant eternal life to all who are no longer with us.  If you can't join us, please offer a prayer at home and if you know a veteran or have one in your own family say thank you. It means a lot.

Have a nice evening. Enjoy it, because according to weather forecasts this will be the best one of the week. Thankfully we aren't in the Dakotas, Minnesota, or upper Wisconsin.

Tuesday, November 11th, is Veterans' Day. BCA will be celebrating an all school mass in honor of the veterans who have served our country so well. Please join us if you can to thank God for the gift of these brave men and women and to ask him to bestow His blessings upon them.

Farm family letters are due on Monday. I am accepting no late letters as there has been ample time to complete them. Remember this is part of their Social Studies work.

Letters to our farmers are due on Monday.

Some suggestions for learning the spelling words: Write them,  play hangman, write the word leaving some letters out and have your child supply the missing letters, make letter cards and have them put the letter cards together to form the words, trace them with their fingers on sandpaper, or spray a table part with shaving cream and trace the words in the foam. (Just a thought)

Saturday Night is Trivia Night.

Please spend some extra time on the Spelling words. Last week's words were quite challenging for many of the students, and this week's words I'm sure will present them with a challenge as well. There are many ways you can study the words without having to write them. I have given many ideas and I' m sure you can come up with even more on your own. Remember, the tests include not only the six words for the week but four from previous lessons.

Practice tying shoes. Mrs. Herrera and I are spending too much time tying shoes. This is a lifeskill that they need to master.

Remember Trivia Night is this Saturday evening.
