                    Math: Handout: Practice 1-1

We're starting to have some problems with some of the children not being as kind as they should to others. Some are telling others they can't sit at their table or they are refusing to share things at the playground that are not their personal property to begin with. Please speak to your child about everyone getting along together. Even if your child is not involved, they can benefit from a talk reminding them of being a part of God's family and that everyone is special.

                      Practice tying shoes.

Continue to work on listening skills and following directions .  Review rules for being a good listener.  There is way too much talking when the children should be listening.

                    Math: Practice recognizing and identifying shapes: squares, rectangles, circles, squares)
                               Look around and find these shapes in the house, outside, etc. There are also shape
                               sorting activities on the internet as well as some short videos.( Check out You
                               Tube and PBS kids )
    

Next restaurant night for BCA is September 9th.

Mrs. Buckley has a limited amount of tickets left for the October 2, 2015 White Sox game against the Detroit Tigers. Enjoy the last game of the season and watch the fireworks display after the game. You can find the order forms online.  The cost of the bleacher seats is $20.00.

Lunch order forms are in your child's homework folder.  These forms are due by Sept. 4th  No late forms will be accepted.

Homework: Religion: Practice making the Sign of the Cross (Words and actions).
                     Math: Practice sorting by one attribute. Give children several objects . Have them put
                                the objects in like groups and explain how they grouped them (size, shape, color)
                                You can use different buttons, coins, blocks, etc.  There are also web sites you
                                 can look at. Google sorting by attributes. There are several short videos you can
                                 watch.

Remember to practice tying shoes.

Please make sure your child has eaten breakfast in the morning. Lots of tummy aches because we are hungry
